Child Support

Child support is calculated based on specific written guidelines published by the Arizona Supreme Court. Some of the considerations in the child support guidelines include, but are not limited to, the income of each party, the number of children the couple has, certain costs associated with raising a child, and the number of days a parent has with their child.

While based on published guidelines, child support can actually be a very confusing issue. There are situations where the Superior Court will order a deviation from the guidelines. Also, when asking for a child support modification a party must show a substantial and continuing change of circumstances.

De Blank & Toussaint is dedicated to ensuring the Superior Court considers all of the applicable circumstances and factors when making a child support determination. If you have questions about your child support case, please contact us for a consultation.
