Guardianships and the Best Interest Attorneys

Occasionally circumstances arise where parents are unable to care for their child for a period of time. When this happens a guardianship can be sought. There also are cases where, because the true parents are taking diametrically opposed positions, the Superior Court may appoint a so called Best Interests Attorney to represent the children’s position independent of either parent. This used to be called a guardianship i.e. guardianships for purposes of this litigation only.

At De Blank & Toussaint we can help you if you need to have a guardian appointed for your children. We are also available to serve as Best Interest Attorneys to make sure your children’s voices are heard and their interests are protected. Please contact us for a consultation.
